The Topic Card Deck

Topic Cards (Red):  Topic Cards can be used to identify the themes or ideas that we generally associate with race, a racial encounter, our racial identities, or our community.  You can use them as conversation starters, to organize your thoughts, or to explore the many topics that are racialized.  Use the reflection questions at the bottom of each card to deepen your thinking or reflect on the topic.

Topic cards can be used as a standalone activity or conversation starter. Pair the Topic cards with Key Concept cards to help your group see the connectedness between racialized topics and the different concepts that influence how we process race.
